recent watches ~ august 7 2005
happy thursday! today i wanted to make a blog post talking about some recent media ive been consuming--youtube videos, movies, tv shows, etc.

i want to start with movies. i finally started watching star wars after many years! im really enjoying it--me and thorfinn started with the 2000s movies, aka episode I,II, and III. im currently on episode III; the storyline is intriguing! i really like anakin and padme, also the costumes are stunning. i want padmes entire wardrobe lol. the various colors, fabrics, and accessories used to give the characters a simple yet stylish look are something i can truly appreciate in film. i enjoy watching the lightsaber fights, theyre very cool and the sounds they make are fascinating... ive also been watching a lot of 80s-90s teen movies. theres something about them thats so fun and makes me wish my highschool years were like that haha. i just watched "ferris buellers day off", and its definitely a movie i could see myself rewatching again and again.
next, ive been watching house md. i said this in my last blog--im not much of a medical show person. yet house md is different, the cases are interesting and as someone with a good bit of medical knowledge (from my mild hypochondriac tendencies) i find it intriguing to go along with the mystery of each patient. i also enjoy the personal drama between the workers. im currently on season three, i like older shows that have tons and tons of episodes for me to watch! ive also been watching twin peaks, one of my all-time favorite television shows. i absolutely love crime mysteries, and david lynch really takes it a step above with the supernatural elements. this show is perfect to watch at night cozied up in bed. not to mention all of the characters are well fleshed out, they all have their own quirks and stories that fit into the overarching plot.
as for youtube, i watch lots and lots of music videos there. my favorite ive been coming back to watch a lot is "
lose my breath" by stray kids; one of my favorite songs and music videos by them. i love the colors and visuals it brings--the outfits are beautiful and airy. even if you dont like kpop--i think its worth a watch. another video i enjoyed was "
how to thrift: thee ultimate guide" by ange mariano. im a huge 'thrifter', most of my clothes and items ive gotten from various stores around the country. therefore it seemed like a good video to watch for me and actually gave me quite a few tips i plan on using in the future.
i hope you enjoyed this short read today! i could go on and on about the media i consume, but lately ive been watching less and creating more. if youd like to keep up with the movies i watch, im very very active on
letterboxd!
love, felix
